Hey everyone!
First things first - The Kickstarter campaign for Detached books 3 & 4 is launching on October 6th!
Follow the campaign page here to get notified on launch!
I’m so excited to finally be sharing these books with you. I chose October not only because I’m impatient but also because I’m planning on releasing some spooky and autumnal Detached art for the campaign.
Speaking of October there are some other super cool things happening next month!
Unfinished Business is an upcoming independent zine anthology about the things that haunt us and how we navigate and heal from them.
I came up with the idea for Unfinished Business over the summer and I’ve been working out the details over the past handful of months. Big shout out to Kaj, VT, and Shannon (all amazing artists) for lending your creative input, friendship, and support!
The zine will be digital and free to read and will accept submissions of almost all forms of creative work.
I’ve always loved working on comics anthologies and knew one day I’d like to be the one putting everything together. I’m a little nervous - it’s a big task to take on - but also really excited to see the different works representing everyone’s personal ghosts.
If you’d like to learn more about the zine or if you’re interested in submitting you can check out details here!
Submissions will officially open on October 31st at the end of the Detached Kickstarter, but if you have any questions please direct them to unfinishedbusinesszine@gmail.com.
I can’t wait to see where Unfinished Business takes me and to celebrate the creative community I’ve become a part of over the past years!
Very hyped to announce that I’ll be tabling at Pittsburgh Zine Fair again this year!
I had an absolute blast last year and I’m very excited to see everyone’s new zines this time around. I’ll be debuting my new zine Wildflower which is a tiny tale about being afraid and trying new things.
I’ll also have copies of Detached and some other smaller zines I’ve made this past year!
See you there!
There’s a lot happening! And honestly, while I’m super excited about my new projects, I’m also really stressed out. I know I’ll get through it, but sometimes it’s tough to juggle all these things in life and still somehow muster up the strength to continue making the things you love - and even tougher to muster up the courage to share those things.
I don’t have a whole lot of advice about that - but I do want to remind you that it’s okay to take breaks.

Spend time with the people you love. Do fun things. Take care of yourself. Get some rest.
There is always going to be a lot going on! That means you always gotta make time for yourself, too!
Thank you so much for reading!
That’s all for this time. I’ll be back soon with more updates about my projects (and maybe with some new short comics).
Talk soon!
xoxo Angela
Oh my gosh! I love your art style!
I have some stuff I have drawn that might work from this. It's very weird, tho. Look forward to the campaign. Will I be able to pick up the past books in the campaign too?
